Y. Joykumar Singh Appointed Interim President of NPP Manipur

Following the untimely demise of N. Kayisii, the National People’s Party (NPP) has appointed Y. Joykumar Singh as the interim president of its Manipur unit.

Additionally, Sheikh Noorul Hassan has been appointed as the Working President of NPP Manipur until further orders.

The appointments were made on Wednesday by the party’s national president and Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma.

In another key development, the party has designated Sheikh Noorul Hassan as the leader of the NPP legislative party in the Manipur Assembly.

N. Kayisii, a two-time Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Manipur, passed away on January 18 at the age of 58 after battling stomach cancer for over a year.
