Violence related to student politics has hit Guwahati’s Cotton University.
The university which is soon to see elections within its campus was rattled after the candidate for the post of general secretary was attacked by miscreants at Guwahati’s Japorigog area.
Candidate for the post of general secretary Nabajit Dutta and another student Trinayan Baruah were both attacked by miscreants but escaped with injuries. An FIR has been filed at the Dispur police station in this regard.
