Tripura Polls 2023: Last day of campaigning for candidates today, campaigning allowed till 4 PM

Today is the last day of campaigning for the crucial assembly polls in Tripura and candidates are doubling down carrying out last minute campaigns to try and reach as many electors as they can before campaigning comes to a close by 4pm today.

The state will vote on Thursday and results will be declared on March 2.

For today normal political campaigning has been allowed till 4 PM in the afternoon. Section 144 CrPC has been imposed in the state till February 17.

However, candidates along with four other members can carry out a door to door campaign in their constituencies without any freebies.

This time in Tripura, more than 56000 forms of postal ballots have been issued across the state. Cent percent postal ballots have been received from poll officials, police personnel, drivers and BSNL personnel.

Moreover Rs 44 crores have been seized including drugs, cash and 1,600 preventive arrests have been made.
