The Janajati Morcha has brought forth charges of largescale corruption against the Tipra Motha who is in power in the TTAADC.
In a major development, the BJP’s tribal wing, the Tripura Janajati Morcha, has leveled serious allegations against the Tipra Motha accusing it of corruption.
The Janajati Morcha has brought forth charges of largescale corruption against the Tipra Motha who is in power in the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC).
Addressing a press conference at the BJP state headquarters yesterday, Tripura Janajati Morcha vice president and Lok Sabha MP Rebati Tripura said that TIPRA Motha is running the administration in the TTAADC since the last one and a half-year but has failed to deliver the promised development to the people and also stated that there is huge financial corruption going on in the tribal council.
Quoting from a letter of the Comptroller and Auditor General Girish Chandra Murmu dated June 01 this year, Rebati Tripura said that the CAG had complained in the letter to Governor Satyadeo Narayan Arya that Tripura ADC isn’t working as per Constitutional provisions and didn’t have financial discipline.
The MP said that in the TTAADC, both Central and State government schemes are running without utilization certificates, and accounts are not being maintained, and in this connection, the CAG has written a letter to the Governor and urged him to take action.
Again the Governor’s deputy secretary wrote to the Chief Secretary about it, who in turn wrote to the Chief Executive Officer of the ADC.
Further targeting the Tipra Motha, Rebati Tripura said that during the period of last one and half years that the TIPRA Motha is in power in the tribal council, there has been rampant corruption since they are not maintaining proper accounts and so have failed to provide utilization certificates for the central funds.
Rebati Tripura also said that they are going for mass deputation at the sub-zonal level across the state so as to submit a memorandum to the Governor demanding a proper audit of the fund allocated for the TTAADC under various developmental schemes and projects.
