Tragic: 3 Students Just 6, Dead As Water Tank in School Bursts

In a tragic accident, at least 3 students, aged 6 years old, lost their lives, and 2 others were left critically injured after an overhead water tank burst and collapsed, trapping the children, all friends, under its concrete.

The incident took place at the St Alphonsa School in Arunachal’s Naharlagun.

As per reports, the students were playing in the playground near the tank when the tragedy took place.

The students were rushed to the Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (TRIHMS), where three of the five were declared dead.

According to Police, preliminary investigations indicate that the water tank may have been filled beyond its capacity causing the burst.

Police have detained the school principal, owner and four other staff members for questioning.

Further investigation is underway.
