The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has also received praise from an unlikely corner. Former Meghalaya Chief Minister and TMC leader Mukul Sangma has heaped praise on the BJP for its good show in the recently concluded Assembly elections.

Lauding the saffron party’s performance, Mukul Sangma said that the BJP has scripted history, especially in Uttar Pradesh where it has won the people’s mandate for a second consecutive term.

At the same time, the former CM also maintained that the All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) will not be complacent and will not take any party lightly as far preparations for the upcoming Meghalaya Assembly elections due next year are concerned.

The Bharatiya Janata Party has registered a thumping victory and retained its governments in Manipur, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Goa where assembly elections took place in February-March.

Assembly elections were also held in Punjab.

The Aam Aadmi Party, led by Arvind Kejriwal, won 92 out of 117 assembly seats in the Punjab Assembly Elections 2022.
