The tallest Indian national flag in the Northeast will be hoisted at Moirang in Manipur. This was announced by Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh.
The Manipur Chief Minister, Singh made the announcement after the successful installation of the tallest flagpole at Moirang.

Taking to Twitter, CM Singh wrote, “Tallest Indian National Flag in the NE to be hoisted in Moirang. It is matter of great pride that we have successfully installed the tallest flagpole in the NE at Moirang. It was on April 14, 1944 the flag of the INA was hoisted for the first time at Moirang.”
Moirang is a small town under Manipur’s Bishnupur district and is situated approximately 45 km south of Imphal.

The Indian National Army, on April 14, 1944, headed by Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose hoisted its flag for the first time at Moirang.
