Battlelines have been drawn for the state assembly by-elections in Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya and Sikkim.

Fate of candidates from different parties as well as independents will be sealed in the by-polls slated for October 21.

Candidates will battle it out against each other in 4 seats in Assam, 1 seat in Meghalaya, 1 seat in Arunachal Pradesh and 3 in Sikkim. Today is the last day of filing of nominations.

The four seats in Assam which are going to polls include-Ratabari, Jania, Rangapara and Sonari.

Meanwhile, by-polls will be held in the lone Shella seat in Meghalaya and Khonsa West in Arunachal Pradesh. The other 3 seats going to the polls include Poklok Kamrang, Martam-Rumtek and Gangtok.
