BSF Head Constable Lal Fam Kima today returned home to Mizoram in a coffin, having laid down his life for the country as he guarded its borders.
Kima fell to a bullet of the Pakistani Rangers who have made it a habit to resort to unprovoked firing across the border.
Kima was part of the country’s BSF deployment along the border in the Ramgarh sector of Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba district.
His mortal remains were received by family members amidst uncontrollable grief and tears.
He is survived by is wife and three children.
Kima is being laid to rest today.
