SIT formed to probe disappearance of fmr Sikkim Dy Speaker, cash reward announced

Pakyong Police has dispatched a team to Siliguri to follow crucial leads in the case

The Pakyong Police has constituted a Special Investigation Team to investigate the mysterious disappearance of Ram Chandra Poudyal, Sikkim’s former Deputy Speaker and the state’s first Forest Minister.

Senior Superintendent of Police Karma Gyamtso Bhutia informed the media that a dedicated police team from Pakyong Police Station has been dispatched to Siliguri to follow crucial leads in the case.

SSP Gyamtso further stated that they would investigate every angle to trace Poudyal and ensure his safe return.

The Pakyong police have also announced a cash reward for anyone with a lead in the case or who shares information about Poudyal’s whereabouts.

Poudyal, a prominent leader of the Democratic Movement of Sikkim (DMS), reportedly went missing from his residence
