Sikkim: 2 people die in a road accident, bodies fished out from Teesta river

Kalimpong Police and officials from the administration were at the spot during the recovery

Two people were killed in a road accident on National Highway 10 in Sikkim. Their bodies and their vehicle were fished out from the Teesta river in Likhubhir. The accident is said to have happened near Likhubhir last night and the vehicle fell into the river Tista.

This morning a Hydra was used for the recovery of the car and the dead bodies from the river Tista. Both bodies were recovered from inside the car and identified as Bishal Chettri of Melli, Sikkim and Thupden Bhutia Geyzing, Sikkim.

Kalimpong Police and officials from the administration were at the spot during the recovery.
