In a heartwarming act of public service, the Royal Brothers Club, Senapati organized a day-long volunteer road maintenance drive along the Imphal-Dimapur highway (NH-2) on Saturday.

The team focused on the worst-affected areas between Maram Centre and Senapati bazaar.

Starting early in the morning, club members worked tirelessly till dusk, using two excavators to dig out clogged drains and level pothole-ridden patches of the highway. The effort aimed to improve road safety and environmental cleanliness.

Speaking to the media during the activity, Rajoy, Finance Secretary of the club, said the club was founded in 2018 with the motto “Ride for Brotherhood.” He added that the event was conducted entirely on a voluntary basis, without any support from the government, organizations, or individuals.

Coinciding with World Motorcycle Day, the club chose to celebrate by giving back to the community. They cleared portions of the highway between Senapati bazaar and Lairouching, which were badly affected by mudslides.

The club conducted the initiative under the theme “Social Service for a Better Environment and Safer Senapati.”
