Regional Committees of Assam & Meghalaya to hold meet soon; says CM Conrad Sangma

The three regional committees formed by the government of Meghalaya on the interstate border talks will soon hold a joint meeting with the regional committees formed by the Assam government.

Chief Minister Conrad Sangma said the three panels will soon hold a joint meeting with the regional committees formed by Assam.

CM Sangma also informed that the regional committees have started discussions and visits to the border areas. He added the West Khasi Hills Committee had its first meeting on Friday and, similarly, others will follow suit.

Chief Minister Sangma said it’s a process and can’t expect a result in a matter of days. However, he assured that the process is on and hopes that another chief ministerial level meeting can take place soon.
