Celebrities, politicians and industrialists are expected to throng to Ayodhya to witness the grand spectacle
The Ram Temple inauguration, on January 22, is set to be attended by people from all walks of life. Celebrities, politicians and industrialists are expected to throng Ayodhya to witness the grand spectacle. Here is a reported list, so far of the people invited to the consecration of the temple, built on the site of the now demolished Babri Masjid.
Narendra Modi
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was among the first people invited to the Ram Temple consecration. Taking to his X handle, the Prime Minister, on October 25, 2023 shared the news.

He is expected to address the public at 12.30 p.m on that day, according to reports. He has requested people to visit the temple premises on January 23, one day after the inauguration.
Mohan Bhagwat
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat has also been invited to the event. The RSS head had earlier called for programmes across the country to commemorate the historic event.
Mallikarjun Kharge
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has been invited to the grand opening of the temple. Despite the invitation Kharge has not confirmed if he will attend but said that he will take a decision on the matter “very soon”.
Sonia Gandhi
Former Congress President Sonia Gandhi, who has also been invited to the inauguration, is likely to attend the event according to reports. Sonia Gandhi was succeeded as Congress President on October 26, 2022.
Mukesh Ambani
Reliance supremo and billionaire Mukesh Ambani is another of the invitees to the spectacle. He is the Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries which is India’s most valuable company by market value.
Gautam Adani
Another notable inclusion in the invitee list is Chairman of Adani Group, Gautam Adani. Adani recently surpassed Mukesh Ambani to become India’s richest man with a net worth of 97.6 billion dollars, according to the Bloomberg Billionaire Index.
Ratan Tata
Industrialist and philanthropist Ratan Tata is another notable inclusion in the list of invitees. The former Chairman of Tata Sons was awarded the Padma Vibhushan in 2008 for his charitable projects and business acumen.
According to reports senior Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi are likely to miss out on receiving an invitation for the event.
