RajaRaghuvanshiMurderCase: Sonam had 2 phones…was busy texting. She should be hanged, says Raja’s sister-in-law

“We have lost a loved one. Nothing can satisfy us. She should be hanged at the earliest,” said Kiran.

In a chilling revelation and an emotional outburst, Kiran Raghuvanshi, the sister-in-law of Raja Raghuvanshi has said that Sonam Raghuvanshi, prime accused in Raja’s murder had two mobile phones and was always busy sending messages.

Kiran said, “Sonam had two phones. She used to tell us one was for office use and the other for personal purposes. I did not see her speaking on calls regularly, but she would keep sending messages. Her phone was always with her.”

Expressing deep anguish over Raja’s brutal murder, Kiran demanded capital punishment for Sonam.

“We have lost a loved one. Nothing can satisfy us. She should be hanged at the earliest,” said Kiran.

While acknowledging that Sonam’s brother, Govind Raghuvanshi, had apologised on behalf of his family, she said that they do not need an apology, they just want Sonam to be hanged.

“Govind apologised to us. But, we do not need anyone’s apology. She should be hanged at earliest,” she said.

Meanwhile, Govind Raghuvanshi said,“Based on the evidence collected so far, I am 100% sure that Sonam murdered Raja.”

He said that his family has “completely disowned” Sonam and would now stand firmly with the victim’s family in their legal fight for justice.

Govind expressed deep remorse over what transpired and extended solidarity with Raja’s grieving family.

Raja Raghuvanshi was allegedly murdered in a premeditated plot during a honeymoon trip in Meghalaya. 4 accused-Akash Rajput (19), Vishal Singh Chauhan (22), Anand Kurmi (23), and Raj Kushwaha (21) including Sonam.

Sonam and the 4 other accused were arrested and were brought to Shillong late last night on a 7-day transit remand obtained by Meghalaya Police. They are expected to be produced before a Shillong court shortly.
