Railway Gangman Run Over by Agartala Express at Arunachal Station

The tragic accident took place on Saturday when the Agartala Express was approaching the station from Silchar.

In a heartbreaking incident, a railway worker lost his life after being run over by a train at Arunachal (Mashimpur) Railway Station near Silchar. The victim, identified as Shyamaprasad Chakraborty, alias Raju, was serving as a gangman in the railway department.

The tragic accident took place on Saturday when the Agartala Express was approaching the station from Silchar. At the same time, a local market was active in the area, adding to the usual rush near the railway tracks. As the train entered the station, it fatally struck Raju.

The Railway Police rushed to the spot after receiving information about the incident. They recovered Raju’s body and sent it to Silchar Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem examination.
