Pressure group members continue their protest outside the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council premises, demanding the ouster of CEM Rakesh Sangma.

In fact, protesters stopped Jengjal MDC Grahambell Sangma from entering the GHADC premises as the pressure groups have called for a 4-day GHADC strike.
The protesters have pledged not to relent until the government removes CEM Rakesh Sangma.

Yesterday, members of pressure groups and NGOs like the GSU, FKJGP, AYWO, and NESO took to the streets and marched all the way to the GHADC office to demand the ouster of CEM Rakesh A. Sangma.

The pressure group members also held a public meeting outside the GHADC office calling for the immediate removal of the current CEM, accusing him of not following Garo Customs. The protesters are accusing CEM Rakesh Sangma of following the patrilineal system since his father was from the Nepali community.

And these are visuals from outside GHADC premises. Protesters can be seen holding a unique demonstration, singing songs.
