Picnic Takes Tragic Turn: Junior Doctors Injured in Assam’s Bokakhat Accident

The incident occurred in Bokakhat on December 27 evening as three junior female doctors from Jorhat Medical College and Hospital.

A joyous picnic outing turned into a nightmare for a group of junior doctors when their vehicle met with a severe accident on the national highway. The incident occurred in Bokakhat on December 27 evening as three junior female doctors from Jorhat Medical College and Hospital were returning from a picnic and heading towards Dergaon.

Their vehicle collided with a truck, leaving all three doctors injured. The accident created chaos on the highway as bystanders rushed to assist the victims.

In a stroke of providence, Assam Minister Atul Bora happened to be traveling along the same route at the time. Witnessing the distressing scene, Bora stopped his convoy and extended immediate assistance. The minister personally ensured that the injured doctors were transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
The injured doctors are reported to be receiving treatment and are under medical observation.
