The Old Trafford stadium has been made a ‘No Fly Zone’ for India’s semifinal clash against New Zealand today.

The decision has been taken after consultation with the local authorities, the England and Wales Cricket Board informed the BCCI.

According to reports it was on Saturday, an unnamed private aircraft flew from Bradford zone with banners like “India stop Mob Lynching” and “Justice for Kashmir” over the Headingley air space on a number of occasions during the World Cup contest between India and Sri Lanka.

The Men in Blue is high on confidence after finishing at the top spot of the points table. Meanwhile, Kiwi skipper Kane Williamson has accepted that India’s bowling is of top class quality.

As Asian giants India lock horns with Kane Williamson led-New Zealand in the semi-final of the ongoing ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, Board of Control for Cricket in India’s acting president CK Khanna lauded the team’s performance in the league stage and he hoped that the Men in Blue would perform to their ability in the semi-final.

Union Minister and former BCCI President Anurag Thakur has also wished Team India on the eve of its semi final match.

Meanwhile, Union Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju has wished the Indian cricket team on the eve of its world cup semi final match against New Zealand. Rijiju was hopeful that the Indian team would put up a good show in today’s match.
