The NRC authorities have published the additional draft exclusion list that includes the names of over 1 lakh people, who now have to file claims to prove their citizenship.
The additional list contains the names of only those people who figured in the complete draft NRC published on July 30 last year, but were later found ineligible for inclusion.
Apart from the 40 lakh people whose names did not figure in the final draft list published on July 30 last year, there are now an additional 1,02,462 people without names in the list.
Those whose names have been excluded will be allowed to file claims but it has to be done before July 31, the date when the final list will be published.
