GOI and NSCN-K (Ang Mai-M): The latest to call for a ceasefire between the Govt of India & NSCN-K (Ang Mai-M) is CNTC.

There is a big push from several civil society and tribal groups in Nagaland for a ceasefire agreement with the NSCN-K (Ang Mai-Mulatonu) to find a common ground towards peace and political solution to the Naga issue.

The latest to call for a ceasefire between the Government of India and NSCN-K (Ang Mai-M) is the Central Nagaland Tribes Council (CNTC).

This is the 6th major NGO from Nagaland to push for a ceasefire with the NSCN-K (Ang Mai Mulatonu). Among the others which have pressed for a ceasefire are Nagaland GBs Federation, Western Sumi Kukami Hoho, All Sumi Kukami Hoho, Eastern Sumi Kukami Hoho and Eastern Nagaland GBs Union.

It may be mentioned that 5 rounds of official talks have been reportedly held between NSCN-K (ANG MAI-MULATONU) and GoI so far.

The CNTC in its statement said that it has learnt that GOI and the NSCN-K (Ang Mai Mulatonu) are resuming the talks again and termed it as a positive development. The CNTC appealed both parties to make a quick progress in talks.
