NIA raids Popular Front of India in Manipur

Thoubal police personnel and central armed forces kept a strong vigil to prevent any untoward incidents during the raids.

The NIA has raided the state unit office of the Popular Front of India in Manipur as well. As per inputs, the raids have been made at Lilong and two other locations.

The State unit PFI office was reportedly raided in the wee hours, around 3:30 AM today.

Meanwhile, tension prevailed in Mayang Imphal Irong in Imphal West and Lilong in Thoubal district when officials went to raid the house of the PFI Manipur State President. Locals even staged a protest against the raid.

Additional police personnel arrived at the scene and brought the situation under control.
