New Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla Holds First Security Review Meeting at Raj Bhavan

Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla chaired the first high-level security review meeting today at Raj Bhavan in Imphal today. This is the first high-level meeting chaired by Governor Bhalla, after being sworn in as the governor of Manipur yesterday.
Governor Bhalla assessed the overall security and law and order situation in the state, with a special focus on the sensitive border areas.
Manipur Chief secretary Vineet Joshi, Security advisor Kuldeep Singh, DGP Rajeev Singh, Commissioner of Home N. Ashok Kumar senior officials from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Border Security Force (BSF), and Inspector General of Assam Rifles (IGAR-South) along with several other top officials attended the meeting.

Discussions centered on improving coordination among security forces and implementing measures to maintain peace and stability across the state.
Today’s meeting marks a crucial step in the new Governor’s agenda, highlighting his commitment to addressing Manipur’s security concerns comprehensively.
Yesterday, Governor Bhalla had a meeting with Lt. General Abhijit Pendharkar, the 3 Corps Commander, following the swearing-in ceremony held at Raj Bhavan.
