Need voting arrangements for Kuki Zomi Hmar voters across India: Kuki Zomi Hmar MLAs to ECI

The first phase of voting for the Lok Sabha elections will take place on April 19.

The 10 Kuki Zomi Hmar MLAs has appealed to the Chief Election Commissioner, Election Commission of India, to make voting arrangements for displaced Kuki-Zomi-Hmar voters taking shelter in different parts of India for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2024.

In a memorundum, the Kuki-Zomi-Hmar elected members of Manipur Legislative Assembly urged the CEC for his urgent attention to the plight of over 50,000 of the displaced people scattered in different parts of the country, who are legitimate electorates in the ensuing Parliamentary Elections 2024.

The 10 MLAs include Haokholet Kipgen, Letpao Haokip, L.M. Khaute, Nemcha Kipgen, Ngursanglur Sanate, Paolienlal Haokip, Chinlunthang, Letzamang Haokip, Kimneo Haokip Hangshing and Vungzagin Valte           

The first phase of voting for the Lok Sabha elections will take place on April 19.
