NDA creates history in Assam winning 11 of 14 seats, check winners and their margin of votes

The BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has created history in Assam winning 11 out of 14 seats in the Lok Sabha Election 2024, the result of which was declared on Tuesday.
BJP fough the 2024 Lok Sabha elections with its allied UPPL and AGP. Of the 14 seats they contested, BJP won 9 seats and UPPL and AGP won one seat each.
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that for the first time in Assam, a ruling alliance has won that many seats and it was a massive achievement for the BJP-led NDA to return to power for the third consecutive term.
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the NDA has achieved a significant increase in its overall vote share, reaching about 46%, compared to previous numbers of 39% in the 2019 Lok Sabha Election and 44% in the 2021 Assembly Election.
Upon analysis, it was found that the NDA emerged victorious in 93 out of 126 Assembly constituencies, CM Sarma added.
Chief Minister Sarma further said that he was always confident of winning 11 seats in Assam.
“I always said that we will win 11 of the 14 seats in Assam leaving 3 seats for the opposition as it is important to have an opposition for a healthy democratic process in the state,” said CM Sarma.
CM Sarma further said that Congress candidate Rakibul Hussain was the real hero from Assam at the 18th Lok Sabha polls as he won by a margin of over 10 lakh votes, which was the highest margin in the country.
Check candidates and their margin of votes:
1. UPPL candidate Jayanta Basumatary won the Kokrajhar seat with a margin of 51,583 votes.
2. AGP’s Phani Bhushan Choudhary won the Barpeta seat with a margin of 2,21,951 votes.
3. BJP’s Dilip Saika won the Darrang -Udalguri seat with a margin of 3,29,012 votes.
4. BJP candidate Bijuli Kalita Medhi won the Guwahati seat with a margin of 251090 votes.
5. BJP’s Amarsingh Tisso won the Diphu seat with a margin of 1,47,603 votes.
6. BJP’s Kripanath Mallah won the Karimganj seat with a margin of 18,360 votes.
7. Assam Cabinet Minister and BJP leader Parimal Suklabaidya won the Silchar seat with a margin of 26,4311 votes.
8. BJP’s Kamakhya Prasad Tasa won the Kaziranga seat with a margin of 2,48,947 votes.
9. BJP’s Ranjit Dutta won the Sonitpur seat with a margin of 36,1408 votes.
10. BJP’s Pradan Baruah won the Lakhimpur seat with a margin of 2,01,257 votes.
11. Union Minister and former Assam Chief Minister of BJP Sarbananda Sonowal won the Dibrugarh seat with a margin of 2,79,321 votes.
Congress won three seats – Rakibul Hussain won the Dhubri seat by a record 14,718,85 votes, Pradyut Bordoloi won the Nagaon seat with 7,88,850 votes and Gaurav Gogoi won with 7,51,771 votes.
