In a move that would help transform the remote frontier state of Arunachal Pradesh into an economic powerhouse and open it would to multi-national companies, E-commerce giant Amazon and other corporate biggies decided to host the next National Diggi Summit in Ziro, a picturesque town of the state.
The event will be held in collaboration with Medhavi Skill University and Helping Hands, marking a historic opportunity for the region.

Speaking at the DIGII 100 Summit 2024 in New Delhi, Robin Hibu, Special Commissioner of Police, Delhi Armed Police, proposed the theme “Vibrant Arunachal through Digital, Skill, and Tourism” for the next National Digital Summit to be held at Ziro. He emphasised that leveraging these pillars could ignite vibrant economic activities in the state, leading to a new era of growth and opportunity for the state that borders China.

The “Helping Hands” initiative by the Mahatma Gandhi Center at Hong village, Ziro, was a focal point of micro-discussions at the Delhi Digi Summit. The center has set benchmarks with facilities such as a library, health clinic, counseling center, Atal Seva Kendra, children’s park, and rural computer training centers. The vision for expanding such CSR activities across India, especially in the North Eastern states, was discussed in the summit.

One of the summit’s highlights was the Medhavi Skill Model, featuring hands-on training workshops for electricians and plumbers at the Mahatma Gandhi Center in Ziro. This initiative, supported by leading corporate houses like Medhavi University, ONGC, Hamdard, Muthoot Group, Dell, Jindal Group, Six Sigma Healthcare, and Akashya Airlines, received resounding applause. Attendees lauded the efforts of these daring organizations in extending their footprints to remote areas, empowering tribal villagers with life-changing skills.
