The multi-storeyed Nagaland State Emporium Complex was constructed at a cost of Rs 11.25 crore

Nagaland CM Dr. Neiphiu Rio today inaugurated the multi-storeyed Nagaland State Emporium Complex in Kohima with an aim to promote and preserve the rich handloom and handicrafts tradition of the state.
The Chief Minister called it a long-awaited infrastructure that will serve as both a symbol of cultural identity and a centre for commercial growth.

Constructed at a cost of Rs 11.25 crore, the Nagaland State Emporium Complex spans 7 floors and includes the state emporium on the first floor, 3 levels of shopping space, a restaurant, a library, a modern conference hall, and two well-appointed guest rooms.

Chief Minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio presented the emporium as more than just a new building describing it as a long-overdue platform to connect traditional Naga craftsmanship with modern markets.

CM Dr. Neiphiu Rio said that the State Emporium was a long-held need and requirement as a state. “Though a small cooperation, but very important and very significant,” he added.
Chief Minister Rio also unveiled two “Unity Shawls” for men and women, part of a wider effort to strengthen cultural identity through fashion and heritage.
