The Naga People’s Organization has enforced a 24-hour lightning shutdown in Senapati District starting from 4 PM today, in connection to the physical assault and robbery of two Senapati youths in Thoubal.

Addressing the media, H. Kuba Peter, NPO President, stated that despite the gravity of the incident, there has been no attempt by the responsible Civil Society Organization representing the involved community to mediate or address the issue. The President mentioned that the victims are well aware of the parties involved, however, the culprits are attempting to feign innocence.
