Mother, Along With Her Lover, Kills 10-Year-Old Son; Body Stuffed in Suitcase and Dumped Near Basistha Temple in Guwahati

Both Depali Rajabongshi and her lover have been arrested by the police

On a day meant to celebrate motherhood, a shameful and gut-wrenching crime has shocked Guwahati. A woman, identified as Depali Rajabongshi, along with her lover, brutally murdered her 10-year-old son and stuffed his body inside a suitcase, which was later dumped near the Basistha Temple.

As per the inputs, Depali Rajabongshi was living separately with her son after being separated from her husband, Bikash Rajabongshi.

Depali, along with her lover Jitumoni Haloi, murdered the boy and attempted to cover up the crime by filing a false missing person report at the Dispur Police Station on Saturday.

Following the complaint, police launched an investigation and grew suspicious of Depali’s involvement. She was detained for interrogation, during which she confessed to the crime.

Based on her statement, police recovered the child’s body stuffed inside a suitcase near Basistha Temple in Guwahati this afternoon.

Both Depali Rajabongshi and her lover have been arrested by the police, with the CID also involved in the investigation.

The brutal nature of the crime has sparked outrage among locals, who are demanding strict and exemplary punishment for the accused.
