The Mizoram State Election Commission has announced that elections for 88 village councils within the Chakma Autonomous District Council (CADC) will be held on 12 March. Nomination papers must be submitted by 19 February, with scrutiny scheduled for 21 February. Candidates will have until 24 February to withdraw their nominations.

A total of 37,883 voters from 16,991 households are eligible to cast their ballots, including 18,721 female voters. The elections will cover 516 seats, comprising 428 general seats and 88 reserved seats—one in each village council—for women.
