The week, observed from November 26 to December 3, aims to raise awareness about road safety, encourage accountability among road users, reduce road accidents and fatalities, and also ensure vehicle fitness to avoid accidents.

This observance serves as a call for individuals to take personal responsibility for their actions on the road, with the collective goal of reducing road traffic accidents and fatalities.

During the event, Transport Minisiter Vanlalhlana highlighted the importance of vehicle fitness and that all vehicles must meet the required safety standards to prevent accidents due to mechanical failure.
