Tension prevails in the Neotan and Dharmapur areas in the Miao sub division in Arunachal Pradesh’s Changlang district after miscreants removed four boundary demarcation pillars between Neotan and Dharmapur that were erected by a team led by the ADC Miao.
Meanwhile, the Changlang district administration clamped down on 144 CrPC around the boundary areas of Neotan village and Dharampur Chakma settlement area in order to ensure that there is no further deterioration of the law and order situation in Miao.
Sunny Kumar Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Miao, stated that 4 of the 10 pillars erected at the recently demarcated boundary between Neotan and Dharmapur have been unearthed and shifted from their original location.

Singh said that a team comprising a magistrate and the officer-in-charge of Miao police station has been assigned to assess the situation on the ground.
The ADC in the order also directed the Officer Incharge of Miao Police Station to ensure regular patrolling in the boundary area.
It is worth mentioning here that the pillars were erected between Neotan and Dharmapur after receiving complaints from the villagers of Neotan regarding encroachment on land and river by the people from the Dharampur Settlement area.
