Meghalaya’s Sandeep Sharma bags Kettlebell Championship gold

He snatched gold at the WKSF Kettlebell Asia Championships in the 80 kg category Snatch event

Sandeep Sharma from Meghalaya has bagged a gold medal at the WKSF Kettlebell Asia Championships in the 80 kg category Snatch event.
Sharma got the most number of Reps across all weight and age categories in the 10-minute 24 kg Snatch event, with 94 reps.
The WKSF Kettlebell Asia Championships is being held in Mumbai from December 15 to 17.
The rules of the sport are that the kettlebell(s) must be moved from the rack to overhead fixation in one continuous, uninterrupted movement (Push press is acceptable). During fixation the knees and elbows must be locked, the torso, head and arms in line. The kettlebells must come to a complete and visible stop.
World Kettlebell Sport Federation (WKSF) is a non-profit, relatively new organization founded on 15th October 2017 in Greece (Loutraki) after joining more than 21 countries’ respresentatives and officially on 22nd November 2017 in Italy (Milan).
