Meghalaya: Ri Bhoi Traffic Police Crack Down on Violators in Nongpoh to Ensure Road Safety

In a determined effort to enforce traffic regulations and promote road safety, the Ri Bhoi Traffic Police, under the jurisdiction of Nongpoh Police Station, conducted an intensive vehicle-checking drive in Nongpoh. The initiative aimed to curb traffic violations and encourage responsible driving among motorists.

During the drive, district police officials directly interacted with truck drivers, emphasizing the importance of adhering to traffic laws. Their engagement was part of a broader awareness campaign focused on heavy vehicle operators to reduce road hazards and prevent accidents.

Several drivers who violated traffic rules faced penalties as per legal provisions. Authorities reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining safe and orderly road conditions and urged all motorists to strictly follow traffic norms to ensure smooth vehicular movement.

Ri Bhoi Police assured that such enforcement drives will continue as part of their ongoing efforts to instill discipline and enhance road safety across the district.
