Meghalaya Health and IPR Minister Ampareen Lyngdoh’s car was attacked on the night of December 10, between 10:30 and 11 PM.

The incident occurred as she was returning from a concert. Lyngdoh was not inside the vehicle at the time of the attack, sources told Northeast Live.

The passenger-side window of her car was smashed while she was walking towards it. No arrests have been made so far.

This is not the first time the minister has been targeted. On July 12, 2023, Ampareen Lyngdoh faced another attack at her residence in Laitumkhrah. A man armed with a machete a traditional Khasi knife attempted to harm her. Stones were also hurled, shattering the window panes of her home. The attack caused significant distress to Lyngdoh and her family.
