Meghalaya gets its 2nd five-star hotel Courtyard by Marriott

Meghalaya has got the state’s second five-star hotel ‘Courtyard by Marriott’ in Shillong.

Courtyard by Marriott, was inaugurated by Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Saturday (January 14) in the presence of Cabinet Minister Bah Sniawbhalang Dhar.

Among the hotels in the Northeast, Courtyard by Marriott is the biggest project and hotel, said CM Sangma.

Chief Minister Conrad Sangma hopes that the hotel will raise the standards of the hospitality sector not just for Shillong and for Meghalaya but for the entire Northeast.

CM Sangma is also hopeful that tourists will be satisfied using the services of the hotel.

The Chief Minister said that this is a huge milestone for the state in 50 years of its Statehood.

“This will give impetus to Meghalaya’s Tourism Potential by giving the tourists an opportunity to immerse in the beauty and serenity of Meghalaya in comfort & luxury,” CM Sangma tweeted.

It may be mentioned here that Meghalaya got its first 5-star hotel ‘Vivanta Meghalaya’ on October 2022.
