Meghalaya: Body of Indore Tourist Raja Raghuvanshi Found in Decomposed State, Wife Still Missing

While Raja’s body has now been located, the whereabouts of his wife Sonam is yet not known, said police.

The body of Raja Raghuvanshi, one of the two tourists from Indore who went missing in Meghalaya, was recovered in a decomposed state near Weisawdong Falls at the Riat Arliang parking lot in Umblai, Sohra today, 10 days after a massive search operation was launched.

The body was found after a drone survey spotted human legs at the edge of a cliff.

While Raja’s body has now been located, the whereabouts of his wife Sonam is yet not known, said police.

Raja and his wife Sonam Raghuvanshi had come to Meghalaya for their honeymoon.

They were last seen on May 23, after checking out of a homestay in Nongriat accompanied by a local guide.

A day later, their abandoned scooty was found near Sohrarim, raising concern and triggering an extensive search operation.

Search operation for Sonam Raghuvanshi is underway.
