Assam Man Kills Live-in Partner: Asha, a widow with two adopted children who lived in a hostel, worked as a housekeeper with Urban Company.
In a chilling crime that has shocked residents of Bengaluru, a 32-year-old married man from Assam has been arrested for allegedly killing his live-in partner and disposing of her body in a municipal garbage truck.
The accused, identified as Mohammed Samshuddin, was living in a rented house in the Hulimavu area with the victim, 40-year-old Asha, a widow from Bengaluru.
According to police, both were employed by a private housekeeping firm and had been in a relationship for the past 18 months. Despite being married with a wife and two children in Assam, Samshuddin had been in a relationship with Asha for nearly six months. Moreover, the couple introduced themselves as husband and wife in the society.
Investigators revealed that their relationship was marred by frequent arguments over domestic issues. Tensions reportedly escalated on Saturday when Asha returned home intoxicated—a behavior that had caused disputes in the past.
In a fit of rage, Samshuddin allegedly murdered Asha, wrapped her body in a blue plastic sheet, and then concealed it inside a white gunny bag. In a gruesome turn, he took the body on his two-wheeler, eventually dumping it inside a BBMP garbage truck parked near the C K Achukattu sports complex.
The police launched an investigation after the body was discovered and, through meticulous technical surveillance and analysis of CCTV footage, tracked down Samshuddin. He was arrested from the Hulimavu area on Sunday.
Asha, a widow with two adopted children who lived in a hostel, worked as a housekeeper with Urban Company.
The Bengaluru police continue their probe, and Samshuddin is currently in custody.
