Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Thursday expressed his utmost disgust and shock and called for immediate strong action against those involved in the horrific act of disrobing two Manipur women, groping and dragging them naked through the streets of Thoubal district.
“The incident is extremely disturbing. It should not have happened. The government must take strong action against those involved. What has happened is completely unacceptable,” CM Sangma said.
He further said that he will write to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah about the situation in Manipur.
