Speeding Bolero Drags Mother, 3-Year-Old Daughter for 15 Metres; Leaves Child Dead in Churachandpur

The family was residing at Thingkangphai in Churachandpur at the time of the accident.

A tragic road accident occurred at Thingkangphai locality today around 1:50 PM when a speeding Bolero Jeep, struck a mother and her three-year-old daughter, resulting in the child’s death and severe injuries to the mother.

According to sources, the deceased child has been identified as Esther Lalchawikim, daughter of Doukholet Lhungdim from Hebron, Chakpikarong Subdivision, Chandel. The family was residing at Thingkangphai in Churachandpur at the time of the accident. The mother identified as Lalremruat, has suffered multiple fractures in her legs.

Eyewitnesses reported that the mother and daughter were walking along the roadside and were about to cross when the Bolero Jeep hit them head-on. The impact dragged them nearly 15 meters before the vehicle crashed into a nearby tea stall. The jeep finally came to a halt after colliding with an electric pole.
