Manipur: Security Forces Recover 9 IEDs in Imphal – Churachandpur Road

The operation reflect the continued vigilance of security forces in countering threats and maintaining peace.

In a significant breakthrough, a joint operation by the Indian Army, Assam Rifles, and Manipur Police led to the recovery of 9 IEDs weighs 3.6 kg , detonators, and other accessories under a bridge on the Imphal-Churachandpur route on December 24.

“Acting on specific intelligence on the presence of IEDs in the general area of Leisang village, Churachandpur district, Assam Rifles under the Spear Corps and Manipur Police launched a joint search operation. They successfully recovered 3.6 kg of explosives, detonators, cordtex, and other accessories from under a bridge on the Imphal-Churachandpur route,” the Indian Army’s Spear Corps stated in a post on X.

The operation reflect the continued vigilance of security forces in countering threats and maintaining peace in the conflict-sensitive region.
