Manipur MLA Nemcha Kipgen condemns heinous viral video incident, calls for capital punishment

The minister assured that she will extend all possible assistance from her end to deliver justice to the victims

In a strong response to the shocking viral video incident that occurred on May 4, Nemcha Kipgen, the MLA of Kangpokpi Assembly Constituency and the Textiles, Commerce, Industry, and Cooperation minister, has condemned the heinous crime and demanded capital punishment for the perpetrators involved.

Expressing her deep pain and sorrow, Nemcha Kipgen stated, “As a mother, sister, and daughter of India, I have no words to express the gravity of my emotions after witnessing the recent viral video where our Kuki-Zo women were paraded naked and sexually assaulted by the Meitei mobs.”

The incident, which has shaken the entire nation and drawn international attention, was met with vehement condemnation from the Minister and her party. She emphasized that it shocked the whole world and hung the Indian heads in shame.

“The culprits involved in this aggravated form of rape which is a gross human rights violation must be given capital punishment without any bias at the earliest without any delay”, demanded Nemcha Kipgen.

“Attack on the dignity of women is an attack on humanity at large”, the Minister further added.

The minister assured that she will extend all possible assistance from her end to deliver justice to the victims.
