Manipur Election Result 2022: BJP win 1 seat, NPP 2 and JDU 1

As the counting of the votes for the Manipur Assembly Elections is underway, incumbent Chief Minister N Biren Singh of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has won from the Heingang constituency

As the counting of the votes for the Manipur Assembly Elections is underway, incumbent Chief Minister N Biren Singh of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has won from the Heingang constituency against Congress rival P Sharatchandra Singh with nearly 18,000 votes.

National People’s Party (NPP)’s Khuraijam Loken Singh registered a victory from Wangoi Constituency and N. Kayisii from Tadubi Assembly Constituency.

N. Kayisii has registered victory from Tadubi against NPF’s M. Francis Ngajokpa, BJP’s O. Lohrii and Robert Tailu Maram (Independent Candidate).

Meanwhile, Janata Dal (United) leader Ngursanglur Sanate won from the Tipaimukh constituency against BJP’s Chalton Lien Amo by a margin of 1249 votes.
BJP is leading in 28 seats, while the Congress is ahead in 9 seats.
A total of 265 candidates were in fray in the polls of which 60 were from the BJP, 53 from the Congress, 38 from the NPP and 10 from the NPF among others.

The fate of 265 candidates vying for the 60 Assembly seats in the state will be known by afternoon.
