Manipur CM urges Centre to deploy ‘neutral central forces’ in state, condemns killing of 4 civilians at Ningthoiukhong

Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh today said that the State government has urged the Centre to deploy ‘neutral central forces’ in the state.
Speaking to media, CM N Biren Singh said, “We are requesting the central government to replace those central forces who are taking sides with neutral forces so that life and innocent people can be protected.”
Speaking to the media earlier in the day on the sidelines of the 52nd statehood day celebrations, CM N Biren Singh assured that the government will bring the guilty to task. Further, he added that the security and protection of people of the state is his top priority along with carrying out developmental activities.
Chief Minister N Biren Singh has also condemned the killing of 4 civilians at Ningthoiukhong in Bishnupur district on January 18.
CM N Biren Singh visited the bereaved families today and said that he was deeply pained with the incident.
He has assured that the perpetrators will not be spared and said that the forces are on the hunt for those involved.
