Manipur: ANSAM protest outside Govt offices in Naga Hill districts over blanket ban on internet

The All Naga Students’ Association, Manipur (ANSAM) started its two-day protest outside government offices in the Naga Hill districts of the state today against the blanket ban in internet in Manipur.
ANSAM said the picketing is their first step of agitation demanding immediate withdrawal of internet shutdown and restoration of internet connectivity in areas which are peaceful.
ANSAM has also demanded the State government to declare the results of the interview for the appointment of Assistant Professors for government colleges in Manipur.
The Association has also threatened to intensify agitation if the demands are not fulfilled at the earliest.
The Association along with the Senapati District Students Association (SDSA) is also picketing outside all government offices in Senapati district.
Briefing the media, Yunuo Peter, President, SDSA stated that it fully endorsed the call for picketing at all Government offices in Naga Hill districts.
