Manipur: 4 Days Naga Conclave-2 Concludes in Senapati

The conclave also stated to reaffirm their stand and support to the Framework Agreement and for early solution of Naga political issue.

The 4 days Naga Conclave-2 under the theme, “Critiquing grand narratives” organised by the United Naga Council (UNC) concluded on Saturday in Senapati district .

The conclave was attended by 20 Naga tribes, 3 subordinates and 2 associates, different resource persons and spoke on different topics confronting the Nagas at present were deliberated during the conclave.

Addressing media after the program, UNC President Ng. Lorho stated that the 4 days long Naga Conclave-2 was meaningfully and successfully concluded with prominent activists, Professionals from Nagaland and Manipur as moderators and panel chairmen. A good numbers of participants across sections of people, politicians, scholars, lawyers, social leaders tribe leaders, students and women leaders, human right activists, etc participated at the conclave.

The UNC President further added that they had a nice and healthy discussions throughout the long 4 days discourse, mentioning the program came to a conclusion with certain recommendations with certain issues confronting the Nagas at present.

The conclave also stated to reaffirm their stand and support to the Framework Agreement and for early solution of Naga political issue. The President mentioned that the other recommendations that they had made in the final day will be made after finalization by the executive council of the UNC.

The program was supported by the Naga Women’s Union and All Naga Students Association, Manipur.
