Man Burnt to Death, Sister Narrowly Escapes in a Massive Fire in Assam’s Tezpur

A man was burnt to death while his sister narrowly escaped after a massive fire broke out at their residence in Tezpur, Sonitpur district of Assam.

The incident took place in Barholiya, Tezpur on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as Bikas Sarma, who lived in the house along with his sister. While the fire gutted the entire structure, his sister managed to escape the blaze with minor injuries.

Authorities are yet to determine the cause of the fire. Further investigation is underway.
