Love Story Gone Wrong? Girl Stabs Ex Boyfriend to Death After Heated Argument in Manipur

What was meant to be a quiet meeting to heal the wounds of a broken relationship exploded into a moment of fatal fury.

In a gut-wrenching incident that has left Manipur in shock, 21-year-old Thiyam Meitei Salai, also known as Leo, was brutally stabbed to death by his ex-girlfriend in broad daylight. The tragic event unfolded on Sunday, July 6, at Thanga Khunjem, under Keibul Police Station jurisdiction.

Leo had hoped to find closure. Instead, he found death.

As per reports, the 20-year-old accused, Loitongbam Pinky Devi, arrived at the meeting with a knife in her bag, a chilling prelude to what would soon unfold. What began as a tense conversation quickly spiraled into a heated argument. And then, one sudden, fatal move. Pinky allegedly drew the knife and drove it into Leo’s body as shocked onlookers watched helplessly. He was rushed to a local health center, then transferred to Asian hospital in Kwakeithel, where he tragically passed away.

Following the incident, the accused girl and her male companion surrendered at Nambol Police Station along with the knife used in the crime. Her companion has been identified as Leishangthem Lanchenba Singh from Hiyangthang Makha Leikai.

Police have taken both into custody and initiated a detailed investigation into the matter. The motive behind the argument and the stabbing is still under investigation.
