Lord Hanuman, a divine figure in Indian culture and a prominent deity in Hinduism, has been chosen as the official mascot for the Asian Athletics Championships 2023. The event is scheduled to take place in Bangkok from July 12 to 16.

The selection of Lord Hanuman as the event’s mascot stems from his legendary qualities, encompassing unparalleled speed, strength, courage, and wisdom, all of which are believed to be his divine attributes.

The Asian Athletics Association, in its official statement on its website, acknowledged Hanuman’s exceptional abilities demonstrated through his unwavering loyalty and devotion to Lord Rama.

The logo for the 25th Asian Athletics Championships 2023 was designed to symbolize the participating athletes, highlighting their skills, teamwork, and dedication, while also showcasing the spirit of athleticism and sportsmanship.

On Saturday night, the Indian team embarked on their journey to the Asian Athletics Championships, departing from Delhi and Bengaluru.
