Looking Forward to Experiencing The Real Wildlife of Kaziranga, Says Enthralled Foreign Tourists

Visitors from across India and the globe have flocked to this UNESCO World Heritage Site to witness its breath taking flora and fauna.

Kaziranga National Park came alive with the buzz of excited tourists on the second day of the International Tourism Mart, which began on Wednesday. The event was officially inaugurated by Union minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat with Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Arunachal Chief Minister Pema Khandu.

Meghalaya Tourism Minister Paul Lyngdoh and Sikkim Tourism Minister Tshering T Bhutia were also present.

Visitors from across India and the globe have flocked to this UNESCO World Heritage Site to witness its breath taking flora and fauna.

A foreign tourist from the Netherlands expressed excitement, saying, “We are looking forward to experiencing the real wildlife of Kaziranga. Seeing rhinos is thrilling, and the safari has been wonderful. The food and scenic beauty here are fantastic.”

One tourist, who travelled all the way from Uttarakhand, shared his joy, saying, “I came to Kaziranga to witness the rhinos. The experience has been amazing, and the hospitality of the Assam government and the tourism department is commendable.”

The Tourism Mart has also participants from countries like France, Spain, the Netherlands, Indonesia, Thailand, and Bhutan, with many sharing their excitement about exploring Assam’s natural treasures.

Assam Tourism Minister Jayanta Malla Baruah expressed optimism, stating that the International Tourism Mart would significantly boost the state’s tourism industry. The event has already drawn hundreds of enthusiasts eager to experience Kaziranga’s unique offerings.

Prominent singer from Assam, Zubeen Garg was also present at the park and shared his enthusiasm after enjoying its natural beauty.

At least 300 tourists embarked on jeep safaris in Kaziranga on Thursday morning. According to a park official, foreign tourists began arriving earlier this year, starting from October and November, instead of the usual December and January. “It’s unprecedented,” the official said, adding, “In the last two months, we recorded 72,000 tourist footfalls. We are well-prepared to accommodate everyone, and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.”

Kaziranga National Park continues to cement its position as a global wildlife destination, offering unmatched experiences to nature lovers from around the world.
